2017-08 Picnic in Děčín

Yuki organized an picnic event in her town Děčín. We met at the train station and took a bus to the palace. People got icecream in a cake shop, I didn't because it was too cold for me! We walked through the palace gardens, and Yuki did a photoshoot there. I'm including some of my favorites, more can be found on her page Yukísek Photo.

Originally I had planned completely different outfit because it's middle of the summer, but it turned out to be 10-15 C in weather forecast so the day before the picnic I had to plan something entirely different or freeze! So I sewed buttons to the sleeves of my pink Bodyline dress and attached my AP blouse sleeves to it, and layered a salopette over the dress. Add in a bolero and OTKs, and it was guaranteed I'm not going to be cold :3 I also re-sewed a detachable front bow from the Bodyline dress (those things are obnoxiously huge and flat) to look better and attached it to a headbow, for I am still missing a proper plain pink head-eating bow :)

Then we went to the adjacent park and unpacked the picnic supplies. I baked an american pumpkin pie, and brought tiny PBJ sandwiches and fruit salad. We had a Texas lolita over (Hi, Amy!) for the picnic so I hope it made her happy ^.^ My pumpkin pie actually won the picnic's baking contest, yay!

The park is beside a rock with a castle sitting on top! It's really steep and across the river beside the park, there was another one with a via ferrata, a pre-prepared path for mountain climbers.

We packed during the late afternoon and headed home.. as it took us till midnight to get home by train, we threw a second round with leftover supplies in the train!

One dress, many ways!

Some people may think that lolita fashion with its many rigid 'rules' makes it boring fashion. I would want to test it, so I took one of my least worn dress, which is my Angelic Pretty's Precocious Lady JSK  and went to see how many ways to combine it I can come up with!

Turns out I have dozens of ways to wear the dress, its amazing! My outfit depends mostly on weather, I want to be both pretty and comfortable :3 I usually end up wearing one of my favorite combinations.. it wouldnt hurt to experiment with my coords some more!

Its not even all the combinations, wheew! Certainly not a boring fashion at all.. or do you think they are alike? Theres certainly an aesthetics I prefer, I do admit that. :3

For International Lolita Day, I visited Pink Street in our city! Of course I couldn't dress up in any other color than pink :)

The meet was scheduled as a Geocaching event, so everyone dressed up in pink!

It was just sunny when I asked for a photo. The street name "Růžová" means Pink in czech language!

Presents from Japan

I was in luck that this time, my partner was sent to a conference in Tokyo. When he asked me what to bring back for me, of course I asked for a few pieces of kawaii and foods I've read so much about!

Got more than a few.. my kawaii hoard :3 The pikachu is for my son but was too cute to omit :D My partner said he even saw two lolitas walk by while in Tokyo. I'm pretty sure he would see more of them if he went to Harajuku.. but thats one place where we will walk together, someday...

 

Turns out most Sanrio in Tokyo is made up by Kello Kitty, but a little bit of merchanside of the other characters can be found. My favorite from Sanrio is Little Twin Stars, two siblings, Kiki and Lala. I got Little Twin Stars notebook, sticker and necklace! Yay!

 

The Sanrio bag has a little surprise stuck inside... but it's empty! I'm not sure how it is meant to be used? o.O Oh, and the corners of the notebook have little Kiki and little Lala printed on them. Cute overload :3

I really wanted to try some matcha KitKats. They have dozens of KitKat flavors in Japan, including special sakura KitKats sold around Hanami. I also got matcha chocolates and cookies. I think I'll stick with traditional chocolate. Althought I love iced green tea, which is (supposedly?) made from powdered matcha, I didn't like matcha chocolate. It tasted like if white chocolate melted together with matcha powder. I like my chocolates on the sweeter side! 

Pocky are another thing I really wanted to try. I heard they're kind of addictive? I'm glad I got chocolate and strawberry ones instead of matcha Pocky I asked for. The chocolate pocky are covered in quality dark chocolate, and the strawberry ones taste like if dipped in a rich strawberry yoghurt. Yum!

Pokemon! Another of my favorite things which originated in Japan. Soft Pikachu plushie and  my own metallic pokeball. There were pikachu candies inside! Aaand this is last photo of todays post. See you again!
