2014-10 Way too indepth look at some brand socks.

Most of my brand is actually dresses, those are the main pieces of any wardrobe and the item which makes the outfit stand out the most. Its worth investing into as it makes outfit stand out the most - much more so than four pieces of AP plastic jewelry of the same cost, or those AP tea parties noone can tell from Secret Shop shoes anyway. But did you ever wonder what those brand socks with lace or without are like? The details, the feels? I did, so I got some!

I got these new today (2014-06-09) in offwhite, that means its been laying in someone's closet for 4 years, wow! Size says 22-24 and theres some japanese sticker on it I can't read. The cotton lace needed ironing and looks a bit bulky on the under the knee socks.. I guess it would be called old-school by now.

I got these new today (2014-06-09) in black, which makes them 8 years old o.O Theres still even the tag attached! They're rather knee high on me, and I'm not even particularly tall with my 165 cm -.-'

I bought these in pink secondhand as my first brand hoisery. 

  

It turned out the details are what - embroided? In there, not printed as I thought. The first two are made of cotton and I seem to be too tall for them! The other two are a blend with polyester, much smoother at touch and more stretchy. They're big enough for me - did they start to make them longer or is it because they're more stretchy? I'll have to include a picture of all them together someday to find out! I still wonder about printed tights though - how sturdy they are and if they're fully opaque. I'll have to get one someday...

2014-07 Picnic in Ceske Budejovice

The lolita fashion community in our city fell apart during the year. Someone moved, stopped dressing up, or whatever, I don't even know.. people just went silent and didn't come anymore. It's just me and Tairesia left now. So we decided to throw us a picnic!

I can't walk very far by now, as Im expecting a baby in a few weeks, so we made the picnic in the nearby park. The trick is to fluff the petticoat to the sides and behind, the belly takes the front! :D

The summer is comming and I realized all my lolita clothing is heavy cotton. It was time for some summer shopping! Then I saw this Sales post.

2014-06-06 Today I got in mail a package with Precocious Lady JSK, yay!

 

Its really incredible for summer. The jaquard layer is thin but beautiful, the dress has a thin satin layer under it and built-in satin petticoat. Theres very forgiving shirring in the back and the straps have two buttons in back to adjust the lenght. The color is a bit peachy pink shade, not the usual baby pink, but I have stuff to coord with it anyway! The waistline is high, so I can easily fit in even during pregnancy, and it still has lot of shirring in reserve =^.^= This is going to be great for hot weather, but Ive a cute sweater of exactly the same shade of peachy pink for colder summer too!

2014-06 Meetup in Brno

In June 2014, I asked my friends in Brno for a small meetup. It will be the last one for me for a good while. I picked my most sack dress, Angelic Pretty Dreamy Horoscope JSK in navy, and paired it with navy An*Tai*Na tea parties, pink Bodyline bolero, TaoBao OTKs, and a loads of pastel offbrand accessories.

Amai came in Angelic Pretty's Sweet Cream House apron skirt, it has such a wonderful print and she was so cute in it! Kiki took a cherry printed high-waisted Bodyline skirt.

Oh wow I got a nice present from Kiki! It was so thoughtful of her. Yes that's right, I'm expecting a baby and won't be able to attend meetups for a good while, as I live in different city. Actually, on the meetup photo I'm already in 7th month ^.^ I went from normal dresses to high-waistdresses to sack dresses, frills all the way! :)  

2013: My second frilly year

Looking back at 2013, it was definetly a year of meetups! I travelled around the country, and even abroad once, to get to know lolitas all around. I always try to dress in my better dresses for meetups!

I tried to take more photos at home. Again, it didn't go well. I used iPad Mini and althought the photos from meetups taken outside in daylight were fine, there was not enough light for the tiny lens indoors, and mirrors I used were old. The photos were dark and blurry. The best of the bad tries..

I started to get more into photography, using my old camera Panasonic DMC-FZ7, and got first decent results.

My wardrobe got much bigger, though still in the old furniture. I promised myself a new one for next year.

I bought some more pink stuff: fantastic Bodyline bolero, a cute TaoBao cutsew and finally got proper sweet lolita wristcuffs, with removable bows which can be swapped for another pair!

I stocked up on badly missing essentials: An offwhite Anna House blouse, white Bodyline blouse L108, the compulsory Metamorphose luckypack bloomers and a hoard of cotton OTKs which turned out to be 100% wool and warm, oh nevermind I tried.



I made a huge mistake with replicas, thinking sweet brands like Angelic Pretty are too expensive to ever own for me. I really love AP sweet prints, but didn't know if I will dare to wear them. Well, at least I didn't buy them new.

 

I also bought more shoes than my only pair of Bodyline's cream shoes, and some OTKs to them too. Their price was 33 USD a pair plus 30 USD shipping (plus PP fees, the OTKs, and the customs, aggrh), and although they serve me well, nowadays I would definetly search elsewhere.



I splurged on brand, BtSSB Floral Lace JSK, IW Bouquet Doll OP, BtSSB Tartan scalloped JSK



But also found a cheap brand BtSSB cutsew OP for sleepwear for the sweetest of dreams... (drifting lifestyle and brandwhore, am I not? :D) and hunted down my dream dress Marriage d'Amour after half a year of searching on auctions.

I dared to venture into black colorway (and found it's not my thing!)



And got better ready for colder weather, buying some sweaters and turtlenecks. Still missing a coat though!



Lastly, I got my first paper publication with lolita fashion pictures. Without the tote.. and I can't speak japanese, and you read it from back forward, which feels really weird.. but I have it and its mine :3
